Professional Development is a core value of ACPA and the Annual Convention experience. As career development and advancement exists as a priority for all members of the association, Convention has a designated team to focus on the comprehensive experience at ACPA22. The ACPA22 convention space in St. Louis will feature the ACPA Career Wellness Center which will host educational programs, networking and engagement opportunities, and community building opportunities within the Convention Center. This is a space where students, practitioners, and faculty of all levels of experience can invest in their own personal and professional growth through reflection, dialogue, and action plans.

The Career Wellness Center at ACPA22 will be open Monday, 7 March and Tuesday, 8 March from 9:00AM – 5:00PM in Room 200 of the America’s Convention Center (ACC).

The Career Wellness Center at ACPA22 will:

  • Provide attendees resources relevant to their specific needs through educational programming, preparation, and other engagement opportunities.
  • Amplify and facilitate networking and reflection around various career trajectories and alternative pathways to career success, both within and beyond higher education and student affairs.
  • Connect employers with prospective candidates of all professional levels through targeted convention spaces.
  • Synthesize the ways in which systemic barriers and identities often impact the career development and advancement of our members and work to encourage more equitable and just hiring practices.

The Career Wellness Center is staffed with volunteers who are committed to serving all ACPA22 Convention participants and employers as effectively and efficiently as possible.

Please Note: All participants planning to attend on-site events and activities hosted by the Career Development and Advancement team must be registered for the ACPA22 Convention.
