The Career Wellness Center offers multiple, engaging approaches to aspects of career development and advancement. Through various session types and topical offerings, the ACPA22 Convention educational curriculum should provide timely and relevant information for attendees. Our educational slate will include the following programs types:
Career Snapshot Sessions
Career Snapshots are 60-minute sessions focusing on topics relevant to the career development, preparation, or advancement of attendees. These sessions may take any form—presentation, panel, facilitated discussion, or workshop—and are meant to support and educate undergraduate and graduate students, professionals, and faculty from all levels of career experience. All Career Snapshot sessions will have a focus on the ACPA/NASPA Professional Competencies. The Career Snapshot Sessions at ACPA22 take place in ACC, 280 and include:

8:00 – 9:00 AM: Navigating Job Search and Career Development as Visa-Holding Professionals
10:45 – 11:45 AM: Advancing Your Career While Supervising Unfamiliar Functional Areas
12:45 – 1:45 PM: SIRJD and Career Services: An Industry Snapshot
2:00 – 3:00 PM: Using Rejection as a Form of Professional and Personal Growth
Career Conversations
Career Conversations are 60-minute sessions designed to facilitate candid conversations are opportunities for professionals at all levels to discuss their needs in an ever-changing field. These are opportunities for professionals to provide a voice to higher education and student affairs in 2022. Consider these conversational focus groups that will lead to a larger feedback for our community. Career Conversation for the ACPA22 convention will take place in ACC Room 280 on the following days and times.
